Richard H. Stoltman, age 90 of Warsaw, ND passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Sanford Medical Center of Fargo.
Richard Stoltman was born July 22, 1928 in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Frank and Sophie (Topka) Stoltman. He grew up and attended school near Warsaw. Following his education he began farming on the family farm. He was united in marriage to Joann Kosmatka on October 27, 1958 at the St. Joseph’s Mission Church in Oslo, MN. The couple made their home and farmed near Warsaw until moving into Minto in the fall of 2009. Joann passed away on June 18, 2010 and Richard moved back out to the farm. He was a member of the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Warsaw and the PNA. He enjoyed gardening, eating at Beaver’s Café in Minto and going to coffee with the guys. Richard is survived by his children: Mary Anne (Mike) Swanson, Grand Forks, ND, Donna (Jim) Pilon, Thompson, ND, David Stoltman, Minto, ND, and Michael (Angela) Stoltman, Fargo, ND, grandchildren: Kristine, Justin, Brandon, Joshua, Justin, and Jamie, great grandchildren: Matthew, Markus, Maryann, Madeline, Joshua, Ava and Ella, brothers: Ed Stoltman, Minto, ND and Frank Jr. “Bud” Stoltman, Coon Rapids, MN, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joann, and brothers: Ernest and Daniel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11:00 at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Warsaw. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the church. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery of Warsaw.

![]() Odean E. Johnson, 60, of Hensel, ND passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the First Care Health Center, Park River, ND. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vikur Lutheran Church, Mountain, ND. Odean Emil Johnson was born August 28, 1958 to Carl and Gudrun (Byron)Johnson. He grew up in Mountain, ND, where he attended school. Odean worked for area farmers for many years. He worked construction with Steve Nupdal for several years as well. He took pride in being a hard worker. In 1983, he married Janet Thompson, the mother of his children Krista and Sarah. Odean enjoyed cars, motorcycles, camping, fishing and being outdoors. He had a love for all animals, not just the tasty ones. Over the years, Odean's friends and personality aided him in collecting a number of shirts with humorous sayings on them. He could often be found wearing them at inappropriate times. Odean loved a good joke. His laugh was contagious; you could pick it out in a crowded room. He had a big heart and would help anyone who asked. He is survived by his daughters: Krista Johnson, Valley City, ND and Sarah Johnson, Lakota, ND; siblings: Karen (Garnett) Fraser, Walhalla, ND, Robert (Lou Ann) Johnson, Cavalier, ND, Sammy (Debbi) Johnson, Edinburg, ND. Preceding him in death were his parents. ![]() Ronald D. Langerud, age 75 of Hoople, ND passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Ronald Dean Langerud was born September 16, 1943 in Grafton, North Dakota, the son of the late Benjamin Oliver and Helen Frances (Johnson) Langerud. He graduated from Hoople High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1960 – 1964. He returned to Edinburg and was united in marriage to Lana Windingland in 1966. He made his home in Edinburg where was a volunteer Fireman from 1969 until 1996, serving as Fire Chief for the last twelve years. He then moved to Bismarck and served as Deputy Fire Marshal for the State of North Dakota until his retirement in 2006. He returned to Hoople where he continued to make his home. He was a member of the Edinburg American Legion Post. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and was interested in American History and the military. Ronald is survived by his children: Darin (Tammy) Langerud, Bismarck, ND; Angela (Tom) Thompson, Park River, ND; Ryan (Jes Berg) Langerud; grandchildren: Alexa, Steven and Amanda Thompson and Avery and Emerson Langerud; brother, Ben Langerud, Hoople, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Susan Kennelly. Memorial services will be Monday, June 10, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Edinburg, ND. Military Rites will be provided by the Edinburg American Legion Post and the U.S. Navy Funeral Honors. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Edinburg Fire Department. ![]() Inez C. Midboe, age 100 of Hoople, ND passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019 at the Park River Good Samaritan Center. Inez Brunsvold was born June 9, 1918 in Landa, ND, the daughter of the late Asle H. and Nora (Kivle) Brunsvold. She grew up and attended school in Souris, graduating from Souris High School. She was united in marriage to Leonard Midboe on November 11, 1939 in Hoople, ND. The couple moved to Missouri while he was in the Army and following his discharge, returned to Hoople to raise their family. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Hoople, the John Anderson American Legion Auxiliary, and the Twiggies. She enjoyed doing yard work, cooking and baking. Faith and family were the most important things to her and she was very active in both the church and the Hoople community. Inez is survived by her sons: Tyrone (Susan), Bloomington, MN and Landis (Becky), Bemidji, MN, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on January 13, 1998, and 8 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Lutheran Church of Hoople. Visistaion will be Thursday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Hoople City Cemetery. |
