RYAN JOHNSTON, MORNING HOST I was born and raised in Grafton. I started working at KXPO in March of 1999 and worked part time until 2004 when I was offered a full time midday (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM) air shift. Later I moved to the morning shift which I currently fill. I met my wife here at the radio station & we reside in Grafton. I spend my spare time writing & recording music and working on home improvement projects.

JEFF FLATEN, MID-DAY HOST A long time ago, some dude invented radio. A few years after that Orson Wells wells invaded Earth or something, but he was only kidding. Then for about a million years, nothing happened. And that's the history of radio until I came along. I'm Jeff Flaten. I was born and raised in Langdon, but I knew from an early age that booming metropolis wasn't for me. I drifted around for awhile. I held various odd-jobs like astronaut, rock star, secret agent... but I felt my life lacked direction. Then, like a sign from above, the CD player in my car broke and I discovered my true passion and my true calling... AM radio. I enrolled at Northland Community College in Thief River falls back in 2002 and spent two years learning how to work a CD player. I won an award for a feature story I did for the student radio station and because of that I am now known as "The Award-Winning" Jeff Flaten. It's only proper. These days, when I'm not giving you the most epic mid-day since yesterday, I can be found single-handedly winning World War 2 on Xbox, BASE jumping, or training hard for the World Napping Championships in 2012.

NEWS DIRECTOR Scott Karnik is from this area. He's a native of Veseleyville, North Dakota. Since it's not on the map, the directions are northwest of Minto, southwest of Grafton, and east/northeast of Pisek. Karnik is a Minto High School and University of North Dakota graduate. He has one brother and sister and enjoys cooking, gardening, and reading.
