The North Dakota Land Board has committed an additional
two-point-five-million-dollars in Energy Impact Grant funding to townships in
North Dakota's oil patch.
The money will help fund road repair costs.
The North Dakota Governor's Office says the state Land Board has
awarded 124-million-dollars in grant funds this biennium to help cities, townships,
and other political subdivisions in the oil patch meet the effects of rapid oil
North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple chairs the State Land Board.
Other members include: State Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem, State
Treasurer Kelly Schmidt, Superintendent of Public Instruction Wayne Sanstead,
and Secretary of State Al Jaeger.
