The National Weather Service predicts the Pembina River at Walhalla will
crest Sunday at ten-point-nine-feet. That's one-tenth of a foot below minor flood stage.
So the flood warning's cancelled. It'll hold at ten-point-nine-feet for a little bit because
of extra water flowing from southern Manitoba. Downstream at Neche, the Pembina
River will re-enter minor flood stage early Sunday, and reach 18-point-seven-feet and
hold there next Monday and Tuesday.
Two Rivers at Hallock is now out of flood stage and will continue a steady
The Red River at Oslo is at moderate flood stage and will continue a steady
drop, to 31-point-five-feet next Tuesday. At Drayton, the Red's holding at almost
40-feet, moderate flood stage. It'll begin a steady drop Friday and is forecast to
drop into minor flood stage next Tuesday. Further north, at Pembina, the Red's
at 46-feet and climbing to 47-feet, moderate flood stage there. It's expected to
crest near 47-feet Friday afternoon and hold there through next Tuesday.
