Construction will begin Monday, April 29 on portions of I-29 north of Grand Forks. Construction will take place in the northbound roadway starting north of Exit 145 to Manvel; and will occur in the southbound roadway from the Walsh County line to north of Exit 145. The project consists of concrete pavement repair work.
· The speed limit will be reduced to 40 mph
· A width restriction of 12 feet will be in place
· Flaggers will be present
The project is expected to be complete this summer.
Rear end crashes are the most common in work zones. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, allow extra distance between their vehicles and the vehicle in front of them, use caution and obey flaggers and posted signs.
