The North Dakota Game and Fish Department has some safety tips
for hunters and farmers.
Fall means harvest and hunting are simultaneous.
So Game and Fish is reminding hunters to be careful around roads.
Farmers are hauling grain and hay bales, moving from one field to another, and
moving cattle. So hunters are asked to move their vehicles off to the side to
give farmers room to move their wide equipment. Don't block the road, field
approach, or gate. Pickup trash and empty shells and don't clean game in a
ditch or approach. It's also very dry and hunters should not drive off-trail through
tall grass because of the fire threat.
