The Grafton Ways and Means Committee's recommending approval for a
special roads project in Lestikow Park. The City of Grafton applied for the special
roads grant on behalf of Grafton Parks and Recreation. The grant was approved.
The project is an overlay paving project from Fifth Street north to about the
playground and east approximately to the swimming pool. The estimated cost is
approximately 65-thousand-dollars. Grafton Parks and Recreation Director
Bill Dahl says the work should be done in late August or early September.
Grafton Parks and Recreation will pay the local cost share for that, not the
City of Grafton.
Also, those considering seeking money from the Walsh County
Self-Help Funds should start identifying their projects and submitting
applications to the appropriate city they live in. For Grafton, the application
deadline will be the November Ways and Means Committee meeting.
