Next week is the last week of June.
So that means a Grafton tradition occurs again-Grafton SummerFest.
Executive Director Todd Morgan of the Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce
says it's going to be four days of fun and events.
It starts Thursday morning with the Grafton Spoiler Booster Golf Tournament.
Morgan says one event that's new is Old Tyme Downtown, starting at five-pm
Thursday evening. Morgan says people can enjoy the entertainment in the Chamber
parking lot, listen to the Battle of the Bands, shop downtown, maybe win some money
in the drawings too.
Morgan says the purpose is to showcase Grafton's downtown businesses and
establish a nice atmosphere downtown Thursday evening.
Morgan says another change is Saturday's events will be held at Heritage Village.
Morgan says Heritage Village will be an optimal place and it's a good opportunity to
feature it to the public. One reason the events will be at Heritage Village is because
Lestikow Park was flooded and isn't in any shape right now to hold events that'll
attract thousands of people.
The ATV Mud-Run is Sunday morning at eleven-am. That's a big attraction.
Morgan also says anyone still wanting to register for RibFest or the Battle of the
Bands can call now or the first part of next week. Morgan says they want to be as
flexible as possible to encourage as much participation as possible for the events.
Grafton SummerFest, June 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th, stop in and enjoy it.
