The Grafton School Board has ratified the two-year salary agreement with
It took only two negotiating sessions to do it.
Superintendent Jack Maus says it's a fair, equitable agreement.
He says it increases the base salary of a first-year teacher from 34-thousand-500
to 35-thousand-500. Maus says that's competitive with other local schools. It is
behind the larger North Dakota schools but this is a good starting point.
Maus says the Grafton Education Association will vote on the contract
Tuesday. If approved, contracts will be available Tuesday for signature.
