The city of Grafton experienced a partial power outage yesterday morning at around 6:35. The city seems to be no stranger to these outages lately. But city administrator Nick Ziegelmann tells KXPO the city is aware of the problem and working to fix it as quickly as they can. Ziegelmann says the problem lies with aging underground lines. He says when a problem area is found the lines are replaced and updated. New parts and line are on order after yesterdays outage and should be fixed shortly.
--In other local news. Grafton held its public hearing Monday evening for the city's 2014 city budget. The city adopted 1.47 Mil increase which will be primarily for road construction projects for next year. Right now Grafton is slated to do a mill and overlay on Western Avenue from 12th Street up to 16th Street and 400 feet of Lavergne Avenue to access the high school area.
