Grafton Mayor Chris West says the city's doing some preliminary preparation
for possible flooding this spring.
West tells KXPO there have been three meetings with department heads.
West says the first big step will be taken next Monday evening. West expects the
City of Grafton will declare an emergency in order to start preparations for a possible
West says the city's getting sand ready and is setting up a sandbag machine.
He says the city will make sandbags for city use, probably starting next week. There
will also be a sandbag machine and a sandpile for public use too.
West also says the city's going to remove snow from some of the problem
areas to help start thawing the ground.
