Dakota roads starting this week to look for and arrest drunken drivers.
The Northeast Grand Forks Regional DUI Taskforce will start that
enhanced enforcement Friday, October 12th. It'll end Saturday, October 20th.
Additional officers will be patrolling city streets and rural and state
North Dakota Highway Patrol Captain Kyle Ternes says 45-percent
of all fatalities in-state last year were alcohol-related. Everyone is threatened
when someone who's drunk decides to get into the vehicle, start it up, and shift
So if you live or travel in the Northeastern North Dakota Highway Patrol
District or the counties of Walsh, Pembina, Nelson, or Grand Forks, the cities of
Cavalier or Grand Forks, or within the University of North Dakota campus, be aware
