Change Of Plea Hearing Rescheduled For Minto Man Charged With Leaving Scene Of Accident Involving Personal Injury
A change of plea hearing is continued for a Minto man charged with
DUI and leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury.
Derek Peter Kilichowski appeared in Northeast District Court in
Grafton Friday morning.
Walsh County State's Attorney Barbara Whelan said she was not
ready to proceed because she's still waiting for a victim impact statement.
Whelan says the family of the accident victim moved to Montana and she
is still waiting for a victim impact statement and doesn't want to rush that.
Whelan requested more time. She thinks a change of plea hearing could
be set sometime in late September or early October.
Kilichowski drove a pickup May 28th at an outdoor party. He
backed it up, over Samantha Britt, who was sleeping behind the pickup.
Britt suffered serious injuries.
Kilichowski's bond has been modified to allow him to work at a
bar-restaurant in West Fargo while he goes to school. His random alcohol
tests have all been clear and random testing has been removed. He cannot
