Those high-visibility enforcements authorities conduct throughout
northeastern North Dakota are working.
That's what the North Dakota Department of Transportation and
the North Dakota Highway Patrol say.
During the second quarter eight law enforcement agencies conducted
those saturation patrols and stop points. During that quarter, there were no
alcohol-related crashes and fatalities in this region. And that's the goal,
to keep the roads safe by removing the drunk or drugged driver.
The latest high-visibility enforcement event was March 15-23rd.
During that week period, 12 drunken-driving arrests were made in northeastern
North Dakota, three drug arrests, and 75 traffic citation arrests.
